Blue Heron off of Bells Beach

We spent a long weekend last month (November 2018) exploring one of our favorite places in the Northwest; Whidbey Island. Langley, the idyllic small town close to the ferry, with its sophisticated flair is always one of our favorite haunts when we are on the island.

We stayed at a cute Airbnb on Bells beach, right on the water. It was cold but clear for the 4 days we were there, so we got in a lot of hiking as well as the normal tourist stuff like tramping through the art galleries, eating seafood and gawking at museum displays.

We woke up one morning to bunnies in front of the cabin on the sand and a Great Blue Heron wading just out of reach. Restful and silent. Just what I needed for gathering inspiration and invigorating my soul.
