Collecting: the artwork the artist likes
As an artist, I always hope that the art that i create finds a home that appreciates and loves how it speaks to the human’s that engage with the work.
So what are on my own walls (besides examples of my own work)? What are the things that have spoken to me and that i collect myself? Between my partner and i we have an eclectic taste in art – i find myself drawn more to work that is different than my own style and mostly more modern than my subject matter.
Our collection has grown, especially over the last 5 years as we had more discretionary budget to get some of the things we want. This should be fun, think of it as an unguided tour around my home:
